ABOUT

In 2009 Deanna Kloostra started Abused Swan. The purpose was to help educate Non-Custodial Mothers on what was happening in family court across the United States and how abusive men were obtaining custody. When Deanna told others that Abused Swan was based on the story of the Ugly Duckling, immediate recognition took place. Deanna took the story a little farther in imagine if those abusive ducks had custody of the babies.

In 2013 Deanna's life was put in danger and she shut down her website and revamped her life. She continued to meet Non-Custodial Mothers all across the United States and really did not know where to send them for help.

There is a huge underground of women who have gone through the abusive court system who is helping to educate mothers. Deanna learned that a lot of the domestic violence services are obtaining Federal funds and most of that money is going to other government agencies such as judges, law enforcement, and the prosecuting attorneys. Mothers do not trust anyone in the system, because they should not be, they are all working together to obtain funds.

Abused Swan will now be a place where mothers can go to obtain help from other mothers in your area. If we do not have a mother in your state who can help, we will supply you with information to others who work with women in all of the United States.

More information will be coming soon.
